A Brief History

Pyrotechnic guitars, big heavy drums, and the Rock N Roll lifestyle that seems to be lacking in today’s music industry make up the Ben Cote Band. The Ben Cote Band formed in the summer of 2014 in Worcester, MA. After the breakup of his former band, lead guitarist Ben Cote stepped up to the microphone as lead singer. And of course none of this would be possible without the heavy-hitting Sam Mogel on drums, whose energy and attitude are just blistering with true Rock N’ Roll. After all, Mogel is the one who came up with the name of the band. In the spring of 2015 bassist Bryan Lombardo joined, completing their current lineup. Van Halen, Led Zeppelin, AC/DC, and the Ramones are just a few of the band’s many musical influences; although they are just about as Rock N’ Roll as a band can get they show their respect and inspirations are in all styles, as they have been known to play a medley of classical pieces by composers such as Bach, Mozart, and Beethoven at their live shows. The BCB’s first album, “Wax & Plastic,” which was produced and engineered by Ben Cote, only using two microphones and a MacBook, is available on iTunes and has been receiving radio airplay in England for the past two months. The BCB has just announced that they will be working with David Minehan, the critically-acclaimed Boston producer, this July to record an EP. They are also currently gigging all around Worcester and Boston, Massachusetts!
